What is the PTA? 

Hugger's PTA is a group of parent and teacher volunteers that work together to plan, fund and host events and educational programs for the school. All parents/staff members are welcome and encouraged to join the PTA and support our school community. 

 

 

What does the PTA do? 

The PTA hosts events and programs for our Hugger school community. All PTA hosted events and programs are fully funded by PTA fundraisers, with the Fun Run being the primary source of income each year. All funds raised (except 5th grade fundraisers) go toward efforts that benefit ALL grade levels at the school and include such things as:

  • 14+ School wide events
  • 13+ School wide programs
  • 13+ Student Enrichments 
  • Monthly staff appreciation gifts and snacks
  • Teacher grants available for all teachers

How to join the PTA?

  1. Create an account on the Hugger Hub website (Membership Toolkit mobile app)
  2. Click on the "Store" tab
  3. Purchase a "Membership" for the school year
  4. Membership must be purchased each school year in order to remain in active PTA status

  3. Weekly Hugger Highlights email (sent to all active PTA members)
  4. Monday Note emails from Mrs. Barker (Hugger's Principal)
  5. PTA Meetings - hosted every other month at 7pm in Hugger's Library. EVERYONE is welcome to attend!
